Background:
|
Milwaukee Public Schools established the District Advisory Council (DAC) to ensure that parents of all students have an opporutnity to share their ideas about the needs of children, to assist in the planning and operation of Title I programs for children, and to participate in evaluating the success of Title I efforts. The DAC meets monthly to learn about and advise on district strategies and programs that have an impact on families, paticularly those related to Title I. All school leaders must identify two family members of students in their schools as their schools' representatives to the DAC. Director Leonard was the Board's liaison to the Title I District Advisory Council during the 2023-24 Board Year.
