Background: Per Board Governance Policy 2.11, every fifth year, the Milwaukee Board of School Directors and its designee shall revisit all of its policies, rules, and procedures to determine their coherence and appropriateness to the present mission of the district.

Revisions to Administrative Policy and Procedure 7.37 include an additional pathway to graduation for students on a curriculum aligned to alternate achievement standards, simplifies science requirements, and provides clarity on how long a student can remain in school and graduate with a regular diploma.
Fiscal Impact Statement: NA
Implementation and Assessment Plan Upon approval by the Milwaukee Board of School Directors, the Office of Board Governance will make and publish revisions to the policy.
Recommendation: Your Committee recommends approval of the revisions to Administrative Policy and Administrative Procedure 7.37 Graduation Requirements.
